author, if you have due to sales tax department, pay the same. though you transfer the property to any one of your family members, it may be recovered from them also as they are your legal heirs.

The transfer you have made is a fraudulent one. You cannot escape liability through fraudulent means.

Dear Nathuram Kadam,

If there in any government dues in your part in Sales Tax Department. First of all you should have confirm, which kind of these dues you/your firm have? There after you can file the appropriate reply in concern ward/ Department, if your problem will be genuine, than sales tax officer consider its if he will not. You can file Appeal against these demands/Order. But if you apply appropriate manner i.e. transferred your property to your legal hair without any consideration this cheating will not proceed in government dues. IF you have only one residential house in that case Sales tax Department can accept liberal view. But liabilities of government dues you can't escape.

Your action may not help you in Government dues liability.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 12 December 2015
You have transferred and not sold.

The dept cam claim that transfer was to escape the liability.

Take help of an able counsel to plead your case and settle the dues.

K.S.Srinivas (Expert) 14 December 2015
You can not escape from the liability.
