Permission for transfer of land by a schedule caste in favor of a company

Dear Sir ,

I am a registered company of Gujrat duly registered under the companies act . I want to buy some land in Orissa , belong to Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe .

Can I purchase the same?

Can permission be obtained in favour of a company?

What are the pre-conditions for obtaining permission?

Please guide.

The Odisha Schedule Areas Transfer of immovable Property (by ST) Regulation, 1956 prohibits transfer of ST land to non STs (vide Section 3(1). SCs land in non schedule areas can be purchased by non SC/ST with prior permission of the Collector after ten years holding by the SC. Hence check with the concerned authorities (Collector's Office) before purchasing the land. Dont for get to get the title examined by a competent local lawyer before purchasing the property.
