Iam an resident of telangana state.My query is "My name is MD ABDUL KAREEMUDDIN MASIR .All my SSC,Engineering,voter,aadhaar,birth certificates have my father name as 'JANAB ABDUL MAJID',but my father's actual name is 'MOHAMMAD ABDUL MAJID'.
I may face problem when i apply for passport.Despite reading many queries ,i get confused how to change father's name .kindly tell me the way how i can solve this problem.

You can solve this problem to solemnize an affidavit before Ld. Judicial Magistrate.

As per ur advise,i have communicated with an advocate.He suggested me to go for father's'dual name/alias'certificate.Is it the right step? Does it land me in trouble further anywhere eg.Property matters,etc?

What are the possible problems while applying name as appears in documents?

You cannot change your father's name now. You may get an affidavit duly notarised stating that your father's name though mentioned...... in your educational certificates, his actual name is........... as mentioned in birth certificate. This may help you to solve the issue.
This affidavit may be sworn in by your father himself.

Sir, Even Father's name in Birth certificate is "JANAB ABDUL MAJID".(In all Certificates it is 'JANAB ABDUL MAJID'.Actually my query is do i get any problems in future in some issues like where i want to claim any inheritance (property,etc) as his original name is 'MOHAMMAD ABDUL MAJID'.

Now you have come on the right track. What is your actual problem? Do you have any problem in getting the passport on the basis of your birth certificate wherein your father name actually tallies to that of the name in the other supporting documents namely educational certificates and ID cards.
Now you have come out with the problem f inheritance of your father's properties which contain a slightly changed name.
In which place or document did you find his original name is 'MOHAMMAD ABDUL MAJID'? You should come out with the facts so that you get proper advise or opinion, it is waste if you have approached this portal by looking for a solution to any act with some ill motivation.
