WHY ARE POSTAL AUTHORITIES NOT ACCEPTING
UN REGISTERED WILL EXECUTED BY MY BROTHER
PRIOR TO HIS DEATH IN MY NAME TO CLAIM ALL
THE AMOUNTS IN POST OFFICES
Kumar Doab (Expert) 21 August 2015
The PO authority must have narrated the reason to you and cited their respective rules as well.

Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 21 August 2015
first of all this forum is not spokesperson of the Post Office.

Secondly you have given no facts and no advise can be given based on imagination.

Meet your Local Good Advocate for the Procedures and Formalities Of A Will Or Keep Quarreling with the Post Office and Land Your Self In Trouble
Anirudh (Expert) 21 August 2015
Dear Mr. Kamlesh,

Please clarify the following:

1. Whether your deceased brother was married or unmarried?

2. If married, what about his wife and children?

3. Whether your mother is alive?

4. The persons mentioned at 2 and 3 are his Class-I legal heirs. You have to get No Objection Certificate from all of them (i.e. all the legal heirs of your deceased brother) before the WILL - whether Registered or Unregistered could be accepted by anybody.

5. A Simplicitor WILL will not be honoured by any authority. Otherwise, you have to get the WILL probated through Court, before the same can be accepted and given effect to.

I am not sure whether the Postal Officials informed you about this.

Get the will probated, postal authorities would accept it.
