Delhi electricity regulatory commission

I am a resident of Delhi and have BYPL connection. Now-a-days, BYPL is forcing people to put electricity meter outside of their houses which decreases the show of front of their houses. I want to know that is there any real order for that. Is it mandatory for all to put meter outside their houses or it is just for high load consumers? And can i get a copy of that order by RTI?
Please help.

The electricity meters are required to be placed outside so that readings could be periodically made with the least hassle.

You can move to court if you feel orders lacks proper legal authority.

Why do you want to put the electricity meter put inside house, I am sure it would not deface the entry rather it would be better for you due to various reasons.
No such provision in Electricity Act exist qua place for installation of meter.
