my original date of birth is October 6 1999 it was entered in deaths and births register at village secretariat and certificate was also issued by the authority but in my school records it was wrongly written as 6th october 2000. now i am going to study medicine as per the rules of All india medical council every student should have completed the age of 17 years for the admission of medical course
as per school record DOB my age is below 17 years
as per the certificate of authorities of deaths and births register i have completed 17 years
whether they count my school certificate(cbse) or certificate issued by the village secretary for my eligibility of age

Birth extract issued by the concerned authority is valid. It is better to go for mandatory injunction suit to get rectify your date of birth, otherwise it will create problem.

Is there any authority as "Village Secretariat"? Which state/village you are referring?
I think it should be Panchayat of the village, who do not maintain Birth & Death Record. Recheck.
DOB can be rectified by filing a declaratory suit, contact and consult a local lawyer for professional advise, guidance and proceeding.

Contact the school authorities to rectify / get the entry rectified.

i am resident of tekulapally village of telangana state. the village secretariat is a office which maintains the birth and death register of that village.
how much approximate time takes to get DOB declared by filing a declaratory suit?
what records i needed to file this suit.
please advise.
