Date of birth & caste correction in school records

Dear expert,
Kindly advice me how can I get corrected my DOB & caste in my school records?
I am now 39 years old self employed and never employed in Govt. or Govt U/T. The reasons for correction as under. (These mistakes happend when I joined 4th class in Govt. school in a rural area of then AP now Telangana.)
1)My actual DOB is 7.1.75 but in school records it's mentioned 10.4.73 because of this my DL, Passport carriying wrong DOB. and for Insurance also I have to higher premium every year. However, my PAN card and Bank account carries my actual DOB i.e. 7.1.75
2) My caste is Hindu Padmashali but as per school records it is Kapu. However, I had caste certificate issued by Tehsildar as Hindu Padmashali. My brother school records carries correct caste i.e. Hindu Padmashali.
3) My worry is in future my kids should not face problem because of this mess. I read some where at the time of selection or after selection for UPSC they check every thing.

Sir, thanks for the reply. As of now both caste are in OBC category.

You have been issued caste certificate having your actual caste. Govt. record is having actual caste as certificate has been issued to you on this basis. For caste of your children, your school record is not to be referred.
It would be rather difficult to get the correction at such a late time.

Goyal Sir, thank you very much for your response. Is it ok bringing the error to the notice of the Chief Minister & Chief secretary of the state. At least I'll have proof that I have brought it to the notice of the Govt.
