Yes off course. Any Electronic media are accepteble in evidence.

Recently evidense act also ammended in this regard.

Definitely the SMS is admissible in the evidence.

It can be accepted as secondary evidence. The massage has to be downloded to a CD and printout has to be taken out from the CD and it is to be filed before the Court along with the CD than only it can be taken into evidence. There is a recnt judgement on this point by the SC. please go on serching definitly you will get the same.
