Fir lodged by victim but no proceeding in 3 years

i had a fight with someone in sept 2010.
he lodged an FIR against me, my brother and my friend u/s 325/34 ipc.
but till date i have not received a single notice from court.
i went to local police station where the case was registered, and i was told that case file has been sent to the court, and when i visited court, i was told police has not filed charge-sheet yet.
i'm very confused and unable to find my case.
i have my passport inquiry pending because of this case and i'm unable to trace the status of this case.
PLEASE HELP ME REGARDING THE SAME.

It appears that FIR is already registered.
If it reflects your name then do appear in court and get bail.
Otherwise the court could may issue warrant of arrest.
Engage a local lawyer.

Thanks devajyoti barman......I was arrested in year 2010 and bailed out for the same.....but what's next?

I don't know which state the case pretains to, but in Delhi High Court has held that the investigations can not continue for ever and the FIR is liable to be quashed if investigation is not complete in THREE years.
This rule is applicable for Delhi only.

Thanks shonee kapoor......the case belongs to delhi itself
I went to police station and they have given me date of case discharge from police station to tis hazari court.
But people at court claim that no case has been presented on the said date.
Is there any application or any other process that accused can look for the case status??? (If it is not online)
