An FIR that is lodged in a police station that 'seemingly' doesn't have the (territorial) jurisdiction to entertain the same is a zero FIR.

An FIR can be registered by any Police Station, on receipt of a complaint, irrespective of its original jurisdiction.

zero fir is that when police registered any case beyond the jurisdiction of their police station , and then send to its original jurisdictional police station to act on it .
