Urgent urgent urgent

(Querist) 16 May 2014 This query is : Resolved
I purchased agricultural land in 2008 after inspecting previous land owners chain and got registered and mutation on my name. In 2012, Tehsildar struck off my name from official records of land, without notifying me.
What can I do to claim damages or to get back that land on my name?
Atlas Eva (Expert) 16 May 2014
do u have certified copies of the land records, u can write a RTI and ask the Tehsildar about the matter, or else show ur documents to a lawyer and let the lawyer deal with the Tehsildar legally.
Lawyer will assit u to get ur right back legally.

Consult a local lawyer and show him all the documents.

I do not agree with above reply in totality.

Under RTI you can only know the existing fact and cannot compel Govt official to justify his action. You can seek copy of the entire file.
