Ex-parte decree

(Querist) 26 March 2014 This query is : Resolved
Dear Experts

I have received a copy of caveat application on which it is mentioned that my husband was granted exparte divorce in court of Ludhaina district.I want to know
1.how can i get copy of exparte divorce decree.
2.Is caveat application sufficient to prove that i am divorced.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 26 March 2014
1. Apply for certified copy.
2. It has no connection with divorce.
Consult an advocate and seek his help as per your requirement.

I agree with the expert advise of mr. Devajoti Barman.
You can have copy from the court where decree was passed, i.e., Ludhiana.
Caveat is in higher court i.e., P & H High Court Chandigarh, where decree holder wants to be intimated if any appeal/revision or case is filed by judgment debtor.
Engage a local lawyer

no more to add.

Caveat and exparte divorce are two different subjects. You engage a lawyer and obtain certified copy of the exparte decree and decide about what is to be done next.
