Release deed property

Dear Sirs
I am planning to buy a property form X- person who had received this property form her Husband in the form of " Release deed without consideration "
also I understood from source that Person X- is the second wife of the re leaser
My question is that : is it OK and safe to buy such Property ? if not then what are the consequences will be there probably ?
