A settlement deed would save you from stamp duty and other expenses. There is only a standard fees for settlement deed irrespective of value of property.Confirm with your Registrar Office.

deed of relinquishment attracts nominal stamp duty if made in favour of close family relative . it should suffice
rashmi (Querist) 24 December 2013
but in deed of relinquishment I think 5% stamp duty.
I want to save money.

In Haryana CHARGES ARE AS UNDER:
Gift Deed - 3% (in rural areas) &
5% (in urban areas)
Settlement Deed, Partition Deed etc. 1.5%

Find out for your State from Registrar Office.
