Does the new law passed by RS in women's right to husband's property in India apply to NRI's also living in US or Canada. My ex-wife is threatening me that she would get half of my property in India to which I'm a sole owner and even the inherited property.

it has not yet been passed by lok sabha . if you already have obtained divorce and your wife has received alimony in full and final settlement she wont be able to claim your inherited property now .

Even if such Act is enacted, it shall have prospective effect so the threatening of your ex.wife has not legal sanctity.

I assume that ex.wife means legally separated / divorced wife.
In such event, she cant claim anything from you, even after the passing of said bill.

So, dont get worried about her and her threat.
