Property disputes

(Querist) 01 April 2013 This query is : Resolved
Good afternoon.
I stay with my parents in the ground floor & my brother stays in the first floor. Now my father wants to sell this property which is in his name, & he says he shall give me any share. But I have also been a coborrower in the loans for the extension & renovation of this house, & how legal is it that my father says he shall not give me any share? Tomorrow he sells this house & if he doesn't not give me my share & his share when he passes away, How can I go legal in this matter. Can I go to the court to seek my share of this property.
Look forward to hear valuable suggestions & advice.

If the property was purchased by your father, you can not claim any share in it.
However you may file suit to recover the charges you expended towards its development.

Unless you father dies intestate without disposing of the property he owns in his own name ,you can not claim any thing as of right;the fact that you have been co borrower in the loans for the extension & renovation of this house is of no legal help
to you.Perhaps! and in my opinion for sure he can plead reimbursement against your free use of the house .
