Is applicable rti act to private finance organisation

My client has received one letter from Public Information officer as information should be given to direct to the petitioner within 30 days.

It's my opinion RTI is not applicable to private orgainsation, but if recently any amended as to applicatble private sectors. otherwise public information officer how to sent letter.

Pls suggest me.

"It's my opinion RTI is not applicable to private organisation," you state and this much is correct rest is confusing.

One private Finance company received notice from Public Information officer in which they have directed to Fiance company to provide details directly to applicant within 30days, which was the applicant was asked,i.e loan details etc.,

It's my opinion RTI Act is not applicable to Private companies/organisations. if recently anything amended I don't know.

pls confirm me is RTI ACT applicable to private organisations or not.
