DEAR SIR,

i'M 26 YRS & I WILL GOING TO MARRY A 17 & HALF YEAR OLD GIRL ,WE BOTH ARE MUSLIMS,NOW MY QUESTION IS CAN I GET A MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE FROM REGISTAR & CAN I UPDATE MY NAME IN MY WIFE'S PASSPORT AS SHE IS STILL MINOR?

Get married by Mulla as per Muslim Law, and they issue marriage certificate : NIKAH NAMA
Its valid for all ur purposes.

Thanks for your reply sir,so as per your instruction Marriage certificate is not required from REGISTAR,only Nikha Nama is enough to get the name addition in the passport even she is Minor? Passport Authority will not create any problem if she married below 18 years?

Is there any rule in Muslim law so that i can marry below 18 years & is it acceptable in our government?

No there is no provision for marrying girl under 18 even if both of you are muslim. Apprently marriage is without parental consent. Do not invite yourself into any problem.

Recently i heard that Delhi High Court said that a Muslim girl can marry as per her choice at the age of 15 years if she has attained puberty,but for me there is a permission also available from both party parents.so please let me know whether i can marry or not?

Mr Sudhir what the queriest is saying is right about 15 years old Judgment of D HC. D HC has already said so. May be you need to search it to update yourself ! Need a hint then search databas eof Judis.nic.in of D HC for the month of June 2012.
