Advocate cheated me to whome i can complain?

my advocate had given me the wrong information about herself and done so many mistakes in my case.to whome i can complain? is there any govt body who can make the investigation and give punishment to this type of cheater?

Bar Council of your High Court is the disciplinary authority.

Concerning State bar council is only authority to take any disciplinary action against lawyers who registered with them.

Yes, Disciplinary Action will be initiated by Concerned BAR COUNCIL OF YOUR STATE, on your lodging Complaint there.

you have to lodge the complaint in the state bar council who will investigate the matter and ask the disciplinary committee to take appropriate action

The problem may be also due to the ignorance or inefficiency of your advocate by which you did not get remeady. First meet the advocate and find out the actual reasons for the issue. If feel aggrieved, you can prefer complaint before concerned Bar Council.
