Housing soceity maintenance.

(Querist) 05 May 2012 This query is : Resolved
Hello,
Ours is a registered housing soceity. Earlier it was a 4 storey building and now in re-development it is 17 storey tower.

It got registered on Feb 2011.

Till date society management is sending us bills which was decided by the builder whereby he gave discounted rates to old tenants and charged higher to the new purchasers.

The managing committee is not issuing us detailed bifurcated maintenance bill and continues with the latter part, because by doing so the old tenants payout increases and new purchasers maintenance gets down. Is there any provision where we can approach legal help to get the justice. Please help.

Regards.

You can raise the issue in the general meeting. You can also lodge a complaint by way of a letter either delivered by hand or by post. If no action is taken, then act as advised by the learned expert above.

as our expert state if the secreatry does not take action then complaint with the registrar of co-op societies. they have to mend their way. it is compulsory to disclose the amounts at any costs.

Nothing to add. except that Feb 2011, so society had just completed one single a/c year on 31-3-2012, and soc have time to audit a/c till 30-6, and AGM declaration by 14 aug 12. So u may wait for few months before taking hurried untimely action. Let maturation period get over, and it is 14 aug 2012 for you.
