Role of advocate

An advocate is referred to as "an officer of the court". In what way is he responsible?

yes a lawyer is considered as an officer of court.

a lawyer is supposed to submit the case of his client without making any false submissions....facts must be presented in true terms and therefore is supposed to assist the court in the administration of justice.

a lawyer can only be fixed with some liability in such a situation if he submitts falsely....or quotes overruled law or goes beyond his professional ethics.

An advocate is bound by so many ethics Moral as well as Legal.

Advocate and clients relation is a relation of utmost faith.

I think a person will never give blank papre signed to anybody (including his wife) but very common, he gives to an advocate. Really we are bound to protact there faitn upon us at ANY COST.

Advocate's responsibility is dual nature.She /He is responsible to the Court and at the same time equally responsible to the client.

What happens to his advocacy if the advocate in question is an accused under Sec.409, 420 and 120(B) and does not obey the summons, non bailable warrant, proclamation u/s 82 and 83 of Cr. P.C. Can he be complained to the bar council for disobedience of law unworthy of an advocate and should his enrollment not be cancelled?
