Regularization from contractual appointment

Dear Sir
My wife is working in a primary school against sanction post (in a University campus which is under MHRD ) on contract basis since last 12 years. She is working on a scale with regular increase in DA. My query is “what is her chance for regularization on the same post “.

Regular increase in DA does not have any concern in any way to her regularisation, as DA is granted just to compensate increase in living cost from time to time.

However, since she is working for such a long period of 12 years and if the school has the need of her services and has also regular posts vacant, she has every right to get regularisd against any of the vacant post, subject to her seniority/ length of service amongst the other contractual employees in the same cadre.

Check the rules of service of a schoolteacher as applicable in your State especially the Notifications that may have been made in this regard.

One can obtain the following information by moving an application under RTI.

1. What is the sanctioned strength of teachers in the ........... (give the complete particulars of the School name, and full address with pin-code number)?

2. What is the minimum qualification required for appointment as a teacher in the said school?

3. What is the working strength of teachers against the sanctioned strength?

4. Out of the working strength, how many are working on regular basis, how many are working on ad hoc basis?

5. Name of teacher(s) working on adhoc basis - and from when they are working on ad hoc basis?

6. Is there any Recruitment Rule applicble for filling up the vacancies of Teacher in the said school? If so, please make available a copy of the said Recruitment Rule.

7. Who is responsible for appointment / recruitment of the teachers to the said school? Their complete address.

8. Steps so far taken to fill up the vacancies on regular basis?

Once such an application is made and information obtained, on that basis one can think of further course of action.
