Transfer of land

what would be procedure if father wanted to transfer aggricultural land to his sons name.

1 By Execution of Regd Gift / Settlement/Relinquishment Deed and transfer the Agricultural Land to Son

or

2- Local Revenue Laws will apply for transfer of the Agri land


3- You can approach the Revenue Department and submit an application to up date the rights of the Family Members in Joint Family / Ancestral Property - lands and to issue ROR Title Books -as issued in State AP

4- There may any other procedure in Your local area/State

It is better to execute the rights relinqush deed in the name of the son. Father can also execute the will in favour of the son, but will comes in to existence after the death of the father. For the registration of rights relinquish deed fee is minimum( in our karnataka state). In my opinion rights relinquish deed is the best to transfer the property in the name of son.

Mr Vadrali your correct, the Stamp Duty and Registration Fee, are less . It is 1 % Stamp Duty & Registration Fee Rs;- 1000/- in AP
