well abuse can be of many types that may also include physical or mental abuse also child abuse that may also involve sexual abuse.abusing someone can not always be taken as abusing by words but actually concerns with the physical one.IPC and various other enactments deals with it like the child protection act etc.

you need to elucidate the brief.

abuse can be taken under dafamation or misrepresentation.

for further advise, you need to consult a suitable advocate at your nearest place.

Abuse has a broad canvass. Each law has differnet meaning. But in general abuse means a thing not expetcted to do by a rasonable and prudent man.

but under what section of IPC we can initiate actions if someone abuses us (being it verbally and while taking the literal meaning of it).
it may come under defamation but not always. it could be a civil wrong attracting law of torts.
but under IPC, what sections attract the same?
Kiran Kumar (Expert) 03 April 2009
friends shall we discuss the issue in light of Ss. 504 and 509 of IPC.

m not giving any interpretation here, but need ur help.
