can a director of a company file a money suit against his own company in which he is posted as a director for not getting his salary as per the offer letter he has signed before joining

Yes of course...though the directors stands with fiduciary relationship yet company is a separate entity and every person has his in born right to claim for which he is legally entitled.

Check up the dispute resolution clauses in your contract of appointment as Director.
