DEAR SIR,
A HINDU FATHER DULY MADE OUT A WILL (BEFORE HIS DEATH) IN THE NAME OF HIS MAJOR CHILDREN.
NOW THE FATHER DIED.
IN ORDER TO REGISTER THE PROPERTY
( MUTATE THE PROPERTY IN THEIR NAMES) IN THEIR RESPECTIVE NAMES,WHAT DO THE CHILDREN DO?
1.) CAN THE CHILDREN SUBMIT A COPY OF THE WILL AND GIVE ANY REQUEST LETTER TO THE REGISTERING AUTHORITY FOR THE PURPOSE?

2. )WHAT OTHER DOCUMENTS DO THEY NEED TO SUBMIT IF ANY?

3.) ANY STAMP DUTY AND REGSITRATION CHARGES PAYABLE LIKE A REGULAR PROPERTY TRANSFER?
4.) PL. FAVOR ME WITH DETAILS OF ALL COSTS INVOLVED IN SUCH TRANSFER THROUGH WILL.

First you need to obtain a Probate of the Will. Once that is done then the copy of the Probate would take care of everything.

1. Before u submit the xcopy of the will u have to get it probated through a court of law.
2.u may have to submit to the Talati/Collector copy of the existing property card and 7/12 along with the copy of the probarted will.
3.No stamp duty is payable. However u may have to affix court fee lables on ur application to the Collector/ Talati for mautation of the revenue records by inserting the nmaes of the beneficiaries under the will.
4. Probate proceedings in the court will involve pay ment of court fee and advoctes fee etc.
