hi

60 days is the time limit for police to filing the chargesheet. After that period the application for discharge can be moved .

Te question appears to be sending the case record one the FIR is registered and not the charge sheet. Generally t is 48 hours from the date of registering the FIR.

with in 24 hrs! fir goes to concerning court and chargesheet not barrad u/s 468 cr.p.c. so,police free to file chargesheet!
wifebetrayed (Querist) 10 April 2011
my question is
fir is already filed any time limit for police to bring chargesheet to court and start the case. Since police would decide on truth only court would, so what I can do fasten the process.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 10 April 2011
No time limit for that. To start a case one need not file charge sheet first. Charge sheet is fled after completion of investigation.
wifebetrayed (Querist) 10 April 2011
problem is insovestigatino is not been done.. It is already three month, any way i can request to fasten the process of investigation.

As of now only Fir is filed. My relative had made an attempt to provide evidence to police but they refuse to acknowledge the same.
so only option i have is to fight case in court.. which is not coming up since police has not file final report.
