Advocate. Arunagiri (Expert) 06 March 2011
If you are planning for non litigation you need not write the exam. It is only for the Advocates newly enrolled with the BCI.
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 06 March 2011
The examination is meant for those who qualified from Academic Year 2009-10 onwards.
It is for testing the suitability of the persons to practice as 'Advocates'.
Whether it is litigation or non-litigation (advisory) work, you can practice as an Advocate only if you qualify in the All India Bar Exam. In other words, without qualifiying in the AIBE, you cannot call yourself or sign as an 'Advocate' at any place.
