Re: Stamp Duty payable on Gifted property

(Querist) 24 December 2010 This query is : Resolved
hello Xperts!

I have always admired the quality of responses I get. I really appreciate all ur feedback on our queries.

Here's another one...

1. The gift deed of immovable property has been executed and duly registered. Whats comes next?

Stamp Duty or anyother thing?

Stamp Duty is payable before registration. Taking possession of the gifted property is the next stage.

Next enjoy the property.

What id there are two individual properties... Donated by the same donor?

Will it need two different deeds or just one is enough...

I think it should be two... But please confirm...

Much appreciated

Two separate deeds need to be executed and registered.

thankyou for all your lovely support.

Each instrument must contain separate entity else it will create confusion and later the instrument to be declared invalid. Hence proper is what my learned friends had said.
