My Brother working in Saudi Arabia and he got married on 11/05/2007, and after three months he left to Saudi Arabia leaving her wife with two spinster sisters and after he left the girl also left to her mother place and till now she had not come back. and now she is asking for Rs. 25000/- maintenance and she file case in the Family Court and judgement also passed court asked for 4000/- p.m. maintenance. Now please advice what to do

your query is not clear, any your brother must give maintenance untill she is remarried,

If you are not satisfied with the judgment file an appeal, otherwise your brother have to pay as suggested by Mr.Sheik mohammed ali.

Every husband is duty bound and liable to maintain his wife. Even a ground is made that she left matrimonial home, then it cannot be treated as Desertion, as she not deserted your brother

yes, he is liable to pay maintenance to his wife. In case, she thinks, the amount directed to be paid is exaggerated or he has any grievances, he has right to challenge the said order.

Your brother is liable to pay maintenance as per Islamic Shariath law also, as she is the wife of your brother. Had your brother pronounced Talaq, he would not have to pay any maintenance.
