my grand father have 3 sons and 4 daughter.he died in 1957.the self earned 6 acres of land he leaveswith outwe any will.from that period only one son enjoyed that property and all the revenue records showes only his name is owner of that property. now he sold the property to the third party. if the others have rights to contest the sale deed by him

Yes, if the property was a self acquired one then all the legal heirs have got equal share in it and they could very well challenge the said sale deed.

yes, you can. entry in revenue record shows only possession not ownership or right. since you have a legal right in the property, you can challenge his action or get partioned the property.
