definitation

dear experts,

kindly guide me that from where can I find a definition of "Institution"? a group of people has formed an institution with noble intent to construct few building and sell to the life members of the institution @ it's construction cost. they registered their institution with charity commissioner. is it proper? if not then what should we do?

Look into the ordinary meaning of the word in the dictionary. That alone is accepted in law to be the meaning of the word. You say an institution has been formed. What is the nature of the institution? Is it a trust or a society? From what you have stated,I feel there is nothing illegal involved in it. You can go ahead?
