Sir,
I have my name included in our ration card.After my marriage i moved to another location,currently i need the ration card for some documentary evidence,but my younger brother & sister are not letter me the ration card.
What course of action can be taken.
I had visited the local police stn to complaint the same,but they say that this is my family matter.

send a letter to your brother /sister by speed post AD /registered post AD requesting them to furnish you xerox copy of ration card . request them to handover the original reation card as you require the same for verification purposes and will returnn th esame within period of __days .
if they refuse to handover issue legal notice

when you moved another location. why you are not getting new ration card?
for what purpose, you need ration card?

In the new place you need to apply for new ration card for which the old one needs to be submitted.
If you are not getting the old ones then you have to lodge complaint in the local Police and then apply for duplicate one from your old place.
Once you get the fresh card from your old place, apply for new one from your new place.

Get you name deteled from earlier rtion card. The head of the family has to give application. In case they are non-cooperative then you can have another residence prooof. You can give a notice to them as well as ration authrity that th ration card nas now become bogus as it contains your name and you no more reside there.

OR Move to supply office where from previous
ration card was issued,move an application that you have shifted else where and want to get your name deleted but your other members are NOT ready to do so hence the old card be cancelled and your name be deleted and get an order passed,then take certify copies of your application and order and apply along within desired area office for a fresh ration card in your name.

Ration card is normally used for address proof. In your case, you have shifted to a different place, but the ration card is in the old address. So your ration card will not serve your purpose.
I smell there are some other litigation between the family members. For a simple problems dont drag your family members to the police station.
Try to get some other documentary evidences.

If you have separeated and moved to another location i.e. city or elsewhere for your livelihood or service then obtain domicile certificate from Tehsildar/collectorate office and apply for fresh ration card to Dist/Taluka Supply Offr for your whole family i.e. wife , children by paying requisite fee then you will be issued a fresh ration card of your complete family. At the same time, you delete your name from old card by giving application to Supply Officer.

If the ration card is required as address proof at your new place of residence, the old card will not help. you can produce alternative evidence such as lease deed for the house in which u are residing or the electricity bill or telephone bill standing in ur name etc.Hence dont waste ur time and money on getting ur old card corrected or cancelled etc.
