threat to poson my children

My wife is showing some signs of mental disorders over the last one year. We have been married for five years. 1. she is either in the state of grandeur or depressed.2. She is not working but keeps plundering my hard earned money.3. she is shopaholic and buys very expensive items much beyond i can afford or even think..4. she demands the money on a gun point, if not given, threatens to leave me or commit suicide 4. She keeps harassing me all the time on very trivial domestic matters and calling the local police and complain against me. 5.Lalely she is threatening to commit suicide and poison my children.. 6.She has made my life a hell in my own house over the last one year.Is it possible to file a criminal suit against her threatening to kill my children and committing suicide in my house?. Which section of IPC can be invoked in this case. Any other appropriate action ? Kindly advice.

Filing of criminal case would not be of much help keeping her mental condition in mind. You better file suit for divorce on the ground of her insanity and cruelty.

Adding to Sh Barman's practical advise it is always better to plan such matrimonial suits which is to advise first to collect evidences discretely such as audio / video recordings of her bouts of insanity / mood swings then file the advised suit and at evidence stage reveal such evidences.

if she is showing symptoms of mental/behavioural disoders,dont you think you need to treat her at the best interest of your childrens too.

My question still remains unanswered by the learned friends/ advocates. What section of IPC can be invoked to file a criminal suit against my wife for her threat to kill my children? I cant stand any such threats any more. Can I seek custody of my lovely children, whose ears are being poisoned against me. Please advise. Thanks in advance.
