Jurisdiction problem

I have sent 2lacs to my mother in law from dubai to her lucknow bank account in 2006 iam having all proofs, my lawyer is saying that there is a jurisdiction problem, can i file criminal breach of trust in mumbai and if not what is the procedure my mother in law is giving money to post man and asking him to write door locked and thus she not recieving any notice which is sent by my lawyer, pls guide me.

For initiating proceeding for criminal breach of trust serving of notice is not a sine qua non.

But then can i file criminal breach of trust in mumbai even if i have sent money from dubai

she is not giving back money to you or any problem between you and her?

Lucknow is the place where you have to file the complaint. Your mother-in-law has received money at Lucknow and she is residing there and refusing to give you the money.

But before proceeding, you should clarify why did you send the money to her, why she should return the money etc.

Actually i was engaged in 2006 at that time after engaging she planed to harass me and said if i will not take a plot in lucknow she will break our engagement as it was love marraige but showing insufficiency she wanted to finish it off but then any how on negotiating she agreed to buy plot in partnership the plot was 4.5 lacs and not it is of 15 lacs ne how after our marraige i asked her to show me the plot papers which cud be divided in partnership as agreed but she never turned up and now from our husband and wife small disputes she has misguided my wife and they filed for divorce i have filed rcr as i stay in mumbai, i want them to come for reconciliation becoz this is the only way she has to come to mumbai becoz my rcr summons is never accepted until now i love my wife truly and does not want to lose her for petty issues this is the reason i want to file crinal case in mumbai.
Ok regarding case if my lawyer sends a legal notice which if she serves then can i file a case in mumbai
