You can apply for a certified copy of the same to the concerned police station.

Dear shekar, If the complaint is with the police only you can approach them. But to give it or not is in thheir discretion. Becuase if it is about an offence it is not proper to give the information contained in the compalaint to the respondent/accused.That may cause injustice if you created eveidence to escape from the law. So secrecy is a must in some grave cases. That is why I said it is discritionary and not mandatory to isssue copy to the opposite party by the police.

F.I.R- if you are the informant then you have the right to a free copy and you will get it at the time of lodging the FIR
if you are accused then you can get a certified copy from the court as all FIR'S have to be sent to the court at once and generally it is sent within 24 hrs.

Complaint - if it is sent under 156(3) CrPC then also you can get as copy from the court.
