CBDT WANTS JAIL TERM FOR TAX EVADERS

Tax evasion could land you behind bars if the country’s direct taxes authority has its way. The central board of direct taxes wants to prosecute tax evaders under the tough anti-terror financing law, even as it looks to adopt a more friendly approach

How about our citizens who conceal their income to gain statutory privileges?

The law should not be so strict as proposed rather levying of taxation should be made so easy so that citizen at their own sweet will may come forward and deposit their tax liability for the welfare of their motherland. It is not the fear of law but the duty towards the country which persuades common citizen to do something for their country.

But many of us are prepared to be duty bound with regard to Income disclosure is concerned?

if such law is enacted,we will have to build thousands of jails to accommodate all.

Of course, we can generate more labour force in the jail for the Government to undertake massive projects....
