Wife maltreating Husband & In laws

Hi

This is regarding the case of of one of my close relatives. The wife tortures the husband & in laws verbally & physically for last couple of years. But she takes the advantage of law being in the side of the ladies she threatens to complain against police & the whole family is very scared. What legal recourses could be taken ? What protection inlaws can have from this physical & mental torture ( They are 70+ )

If you allow me to speak truth then I shall say"nothing can be done against such lady and it is best to wait for good time".

practically, more than 1/2 cases of such nature are containing similar story so instead of seek frustration from legal provisions and legal system especially in such cases in the age of seventies is like slow poising so better to face at home rather in the premises of law houses or law temples.

If the tortures are unbearable and is physical in nature then those elder persons acn definitely lodge a complaint before the local police station and presuming that no action would be forthcoming then to initiate a complaint before the Magistrate itself. At this old age these persons have every right to lead a dignified life and to bring the culprit to books

In some states special treatment is given to Senior Citizens like you .Take Help from Local Police Station.

I agree with the above experts and even the court has taken notice of the fake 498-A IPC complaints filed to settle scores or pressurizing the innocent husband's family. Even the Court in its judgment has categorised it as a "Legal Terrorism". I would suggest that you should record of each and every instances of cruelty, if possible by recording it on tape record or surreptitously placed secret camera or anyother electronic device. Even the neigbours can be witness in your favor for the unruly behavior of wife of your relative. Once you have enough evidences with specific date & time, your case would be stronger. Please tell your relatives to keep their cool and don't succumb to the pressure, the more they bend down, the more torture they have to suffer.
