(Querist) 30 January 2019 This query is : Resolved
I have filed for alimony in Family Court 2 Month back, but I could not go and attend the last 3 hearing due to some personal reason, what will happen if I could not attend the case I filed. Judge will continue the case or she will close it due to my absence or She will take any action for not attending the case which I filed.
Adv Shailendra Deshpande (Expert) 31 January 2019
Your Council must be attending the case and he/she is able to explain you correctly. The predication is not possible at this juncture.
P. Venu (Expert) 01 February 2019
Yes, your advocate can take care of the matter. Get in touch with him; so also. case status could be ascertained from eCourt website.
Hemant Agarwal (Expert) 21 February 2019
1. Under the parameters of "natural justice", the court will keeping deferring the matter, till the opposite party files application for dismissing the matter for default.

2. The court may levy penalty & dismiss the matter, IF it is satisfied that matter was filed to cause harassment to the opposite party.

Keep Smiling .... Hemant Agarwal
