Maternity leave

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 22 August 2018 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

I want to ask that how much days maternity leaves can be extended after 6 months maternity leaves.
What are the possible reason which are considered for extension of leaves.
Are these leaves paid for some duration after 6 months leaves.
One more question ' is employees eligible for other leave like casual, sick leave during maternity leaves period.
Please reply.
Thanks,

No extension of maternity leave after 6 months is possible. After expiry of leave of 6 months in the name of maternity leave, you will have to avail your own leave, if available at credit in your own leave account. Iff no paid leave is available at your credit, you may have to take leave without pay.

Yes. If you are a State government employee, you may avail two months "Child Care Leave" in many states. if there is no such leave in your state, you have to avail the leave what is on your credit or EOL (loss of pay).

Whether your employer is government department/public sector undertaking or private?
What was the reason to remain "anonymous" author when you know such persons are not obliged by experts as per rules of this platform?
