Agri property under 79 a/b of karnataka

I recently purchased an agriculture land in Karnataka in my wife's name. My mother comes from an agriculture family, my grandfather had lands registered in his name. I have the current RTCs and the RTCs from prior to 1973 still in my grandfather name. I got a family tree done from my grandfather, my parents and my family.
I assumed that my mother coming from a agri family and possesing RTC, i and my wife are eligible to buy lands in karnataka. Now they have put it under 79AB in the AC court. our combined income for the last couple of years is below 25L, while it was more about 3 years ago.
Please advise me on this issue.

As per the new amendments to buy a agricultural property by a non agriculturist there is no ceiling like before .

Sir, is this new amendment applicable in Karnataka as well. Is there a reference to that amendment
