Respected legal experts Namaste the above act as per news papers other infomative channels originally cabinet recommended w.e.f 1.1.2016 for all employees finally the date changed 2902016 so that employees especially private sector and financial sector I. e.banks etc deprived unjustified ly for enhanced amount where as all govt employees benefited for them it was made retrospective effect is not discrimination and againSt principle of equity before law pl advise the legal remedy so that lack o f employees who unfortunately retired between 1.1.2016 and 29.3.2018. Govt mentioned that the purpose this act is to provide social security for retiring employees at their later years .it Is a moot question among the employees who were denied this opportunity that whether govt thinks that there is no need of social security the unfortunate employees who retired between the above dates pl provide appropriate advise s o that lack of employees benefited

Public servants and employees covered by Payment of Gratuity Act form two different classes. as such, I am afraid, there is very little that the Government. It is better that the matter is taken up with the Government , through all the possible channels.
