After buying land got notice

I buy a land recentlly and got notice that the land saller had contract with one more person in 2011 and now that person filed a suit. in that sale agreement time is not mentioned after 6 six he filed the suit.and the agreement is also not registered and written on 2 rs stamp paper. Now i contacted the lawyer and they are asking huge money.i had nothing to do with case but i dnt know what to do can anybody help me

Even though you have nothing to do with the dispute between Landlord and previous person but still you have to appear before the court as your title became in question if you not fight the same.
