Surname change

Respected sir/madam
I changed my surname in all documents such as Ration card, Passport, Bank Account and voter I.D. after marriage But not in official gazzate. It's been 20 years of marrriage. After 17 years of marriage I resumed my studies in my changed name. But now in one of the university they want me to change name through official gazatte. if i change my name in official gazatte now then what about my previous degree which i already got in changed name.

Name on the previous educational certificates would not be changed while fresh degree would be issued having changed name.
