Muslim Divorce

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 16 December 2009 This query is : Resolved
I am a sunni muslim following Hanafi school. I divorced my wife as per islamic sharia. Mahr, Mata'a and idda expenses are already paid and also asked to return her belongings from my house but she did not take it back. Now I have heard that my wife's family is thinking to make cases against me under IPC 498a and case for maintenance. Now I am working abroad I am planning for vacation of 30 days in Jan 2010.my questions are;
1)Is there any problem for me to return to abroad.
2)Is there any validity for above case after divorce.
3) Will court ask me to pay maintenance to my divorced wife when She is financially sound?
4)How will calculate the mata'a?

1. No problem. You can go.

2.No. It will not have any effect.

3. No. The court cannot do so.
