Tenant registering on the huda website with own particulars(mail id & mble no.)

(Querist) 05 May 2015 This query is : Resolved
Water and Sewerage Bills for Huda Sectors in Gurgaon can be paid online through their Website of Water and Sewer Billing Services. My tenant registered on that Website against my property for paying the bills. But while registering with the site he provided in particulars his own E-mail ID and Mobile Number for the receipt of Bills and its acknowledgments without my authorization, which I think is not proper and valid for the owner of the site/house. It comes to my mind occasionally whether this can be misused or abused in case the relations between the owner and the tenant are not normal. Is there any violation of the Information Technology Act? if there is any, what action can be take in such a case against the tenant under the Act and what penalty has been prescribed. Please guide.

Payment of water and sewerage will not confer any right to property upon the tenant.

Thanks a lot for reply Sir, I have requested him to change these particulars on the website and re-register in my name, because even after getting the password I have not been able to change his particulars. He is refusing to change it saying that He cannot change or it cannot be changed once registered; whereas I had never authorized him for registration even; not to speak of using his mail ID and mobile number. Please guide/suggest what action I Can take against him.

It hardly matters till bill is paid on time. However, you can get the same changed in HUDA, whenever you feel.

As opined by experts, this will not confer any title to the tenant, so just be free.

Thanks once again for reply, but my query is little different from the answer. For this change one has to visit the HUDA office and is it not the responsibility of the Tenant to visit that office and change it, instead of saying that he is not able to change it, especially when he is a software engineer? Secondly, is it not the misrepresentation of facts and violation of IT Act ?
