Respected Sir,
I am working in a PSU since last 4 years. This year I applied for civil services Examination (CSE),for which I informed to my company. Simultaneously I also applied for Engineering Services Examination (ESE) for practise purpose, so not informed to my company. Now, I got selected to ESE and getting a good department.I am interested in joining the department. Kindly advise me whether I can give technical resignation or not. In later case what should be my course of action?
Thanking You

Yes, you can submit your resignation.

Technical resignation is possible only among Government Institutions having similar service conditions.

Refer your service rules and service rules of ESE.

Technical resignation is not valid for the ESE (if through UPSC) if not applied through proper channel or obtaining permission of the competent authority. You may have to forget about any benfit of the 4 years of past service.

Hope you are convinced with the experts' opinion, however to confirm you may refer to the service rules in this regard in both the organisations.
