Is "having very simple signature" i.e. "just writing first name in english normally" dangerous?

(Querist) 24 May 2014 This query is : Resolved
Respected Experts,

Kindly clarify these questions.

First Question:
Is "Having very simple signature" i.e. "Just writing first name in english normally" dangerous when registering a property in sub-registrar office? Can it make any signature frogery? Though we register our thumb impressions and snapshot photo in property registration then too "Is stylish/complex signature necessary in land registration"

Second Question:
Can we introduce a new {more stylish/complex} signature for a new property registration in sub-registrar office whereas at all other places like "Banks, Pan Card, Passport etc. we use very simple signature (just first name written normally, means it can be copy easily).

Is it very risky to have very simple signature (just writing first name in Title case in english)?

If dangerous, how to change these simple signatures into a more stylish/complex signatures? What is the process? How to change old signatures to new more complex signatures in property document?

Kindly clarify these issues with many of us.

Many Thanks and Regards
M Malik

Respected Dhingra Ji,

Thanks for the reply.

But, I just want to know the importance of signatures. If I have very simple signature that can be copied easily then are these simple signatures really dangerous in case used in property registration documents.

And are these very simple signature (simply written first name) risky in case used at other legal places?

Kindly help

Mr. Malik, yours is not a legal query. However, singlure in simply written name is risky or not risky depends upon different aspects and circumstances. So, implication of law depends upon characteristics and nature of case in particular circumstances.

For general information purpose, you can call for the views of members by posting your query in forum section.

Don't strain so much to post such queries which do not have legal significance, moreover you are so curious enough about this query that you have repeated the same in another thread too, thus a request that do not waste the experts' valuable time by posting such vague queries.

howsoever difficult your signature may appear. A professional forger can copy it. It may be difficult for you not for him.
