Change of adopted daughters surname

Myself and my ex husband had adopted a daughter in the 2007. we applied for a divorce in 2010 and in 2013 we finally got the divorce, As per the decree I am the custodian and he has the visitation right and a temporary custody whenever he stays in India. Now as she is an adopted daughter I don't want her to stay out of the house without me therefore want to revoke the temporary custody from his part. My daughter also doesn't want to go. its me who every time put pressure on her to go just to abide the rule . My question is
1) Can I appeal to the court so that she uses my maiden surname?
2) Can I keep only the visitation right for my ex husband instead of temporary custody
