compassionate appointment is not matter of right . the objective being to enable needy dependents to tide over sudden death of immediate family member . if your father was financially stable at relevant time department is not bound to offer any family member a job .

well case is in court now . you have challenged the decision of govt . find another job on basis of your qualifications

The legal proceedings may take time, meanwhile try to get some other job. However SC has laid down certain guidelines for compensatory appointments and it has not remained a right.

Ajay Sethi is right in remarking that compassionate appointment cannot be claimed as a right. It depends upon the circumstance and discretion of the appointing authority. Wait for the outcome of the court case.
